Dental Hygienists Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body
2 years to less than 3 years of experience
Ability to conduct initial dental assessments
Consulting skills with dentists on patient care
Experience in taking dental impressions
Instruction skills for patients regarding oral hygiene
Skills in cleaning and stimulating gums to prevent gum disease
Ability to apply fluoride treatment
Proficiency in removing stains and deposits from teeth
Experience in taking, developing, and mounting X-rays
