We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to assist our dynamic dental team during a temporary leave of absence.

This is a temporary flexible position, working Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with hours ranging from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and education to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during visits. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with dentists and other staff members.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental care.
Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software.
Assist in the management of patient flow and scheduling to optimize office efficiency.
Provide support in pediatric and orthodontic procedures as necessary.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Address patient concerns with empathy and professionalism, delivering exceptional customer service.

Experience

A degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program is required.
Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the healthcare team.
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance patient interactions.
Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is a plus, along with any background in dental assisting that may contribute to overall team support.
