Position: Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Hygienist to join a thriving dental practice. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.

As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a seamless patient experience. You will provide dental hygiene treatment and services related to oral health promotion and disease and mouth injury prevention. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies. Responsibilities:

Conduct patient screening and oral health assessments, including documenting patient medical and health history.
Take digital dental impressions and digital X-rays.
Perform preventative dental procedures such as scaling, polishing, fluoride, and sealant applications.
Provide oral care instructions such as oral hygiene procedures, strategies to maintain and improve oral health, and on the impact of nutrition on oral health.
Consult with dentist on patient care.
Ensure patient comfort and safety by providing compassionate care and addressing their concerns or questions effectively.
Accurately record patient information, treatment plans, and procedure notes in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Educate patients about proper oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and dental treatment options.

You and Your Experience:

Diploma in Dental Hygiene with a valid license to practice.
2 – 3 years experience as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
Proficiency in using dental software and electronic health record (EHR) systems; experience using Dentrix would be considered an asset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to ethical standards.
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
