Blackfalds Smiles Family Dentistry and Orthodontics is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in educating patients on proper dental hygiene practices while assisting the dentist in delivering high-quality treatment.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system.
Assist the dentist during procedures, providing necessary tools and support.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment options and preventive care.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience.

Requirements

Valid provincial license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and provide compassionate care.
