Requirements

Registered Dental Hygienist License or expected to be attained by Spring
Experience in conducting patient screening and oral health assessments
Skill in taking dental impressions and digital X-rays
Ability to perform preventative dental procedures such as teeth cleaning, scaling, gum stimulation, and fluoride and sealant applications
Knowledge of oral care instructions and strategies to maintain and improve oral health
Consultative skills for collaborating with dentists on patient care
Ability to perform orthodontic procedures under dentist supervision (preferred)
Experience supervising dental assistants in healthcare functions (preferred)
Experience in performing routine dental check-ups and oral cancer examinations
Ability to refer patients for care beyond the scope of the dental therapist
Experience in providing oral health promotion activities
