Requirements

Active registration with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario
Successful completion of a recognized dental hygiene program
Current CPR and First Aid training
Proficiency in dental hygiene services including scaling, root planing, polishing, topical fluoride application, pit and fissure sealants, and whitening
Experience in collecting and updating medical and dental histories
Ability to chart dental conditions based on dentist's observations
Skill in explaining dental conditions and treatment options to patients
Knowledge of infection control guidelines for disinfecting operatories and sterilizing instruments
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Dedication to promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care
