3 days a week including 2 Saturdays a month. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting oral health. This role requires a strong commitment to patient education and the ability to work collaboratively with dentists and other staff members in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Take and develop dental radiographs as necessary.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including orthodontics and pediatrics.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a sterile working environment.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Anesthetic module is an asset.
Experience in a dental office setting is preferred; familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics is a plus.
Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental software systems.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance patient communication.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is advantageous.
Previous experience in dental assisting may be beneficial but is not required.
